Kaczyński stands behind Nawrocki. "I don't regret anything"

Karol Nawrocki lied in the presidential debate, declaring that he owned only one apartment. Journalists learned that in reality he owned 2.5. One in particular is controversial - the president of the IPN inherited a studio apartment in Gdańsk from a stranger. He is an elderly person, helpless in life.

Kaczyński on Nawrocki's candidacy: I do not regret it in any way

Since Monday, Nawrocki has been explaining the circumstances of the purchase of this apartment. His staff has been providing contradictory information on this subject, and he himself has been dodging and presenting various documents. He has shown the notarial deed in which he received the apartment, but also the will transferring ownership of the property to him. He has also been inconsistent in explaining the issue of the 120,000 that he was eventually supposed to pay to Mr. Jerzy.

On Wednesday, May 7, PiS chairman Jarosław Kaczyński was asked to comment on the scandal. He was asked in the parliamentary corridor whether he could still vouch for Karol Nawrocki and whether he did not regret the decision to give him his party's support. "I do not regret it at all," the politician replied.

He assessed Nawrocki's explanations regarding the apartment as "completely realistic". He referred specifically to doubts regarding the notarial deed, where it was clearly recorded that Nawrocki had paid 120 thousand, and he himself later stated in an interview that he had only transferred the money in subsequent years.

Kaczyński attacks journalists: You are from a dark star

- He did not certify an untruth. You are not familiar with legal practices in this area and please do not ask me about it - Kaczyński cut me off. He suggested talking about it with notaries. - This is a legally permissible and common practice - he assured.

- You are making things up, you are political functionaries from a shady star - Kaczyński concluded, when he was still asked about the details of the case with Nawrocki's apartments. - Those who are responsible for the scandal, for the death of Mrs. Brzeska, are making this great fraud to harm - he accused.
